Bubble wrap refers to a protective bubble sheet of plastic sheeting used to wrap fragile items from breaking and moving during shipping. One layer of plastic sheet is flat, while the other side is stamped in with 10mm,20mm or 32mm bubbles and filled with air. Two American engineers invented bubble wrap in 1957. The first bubble wrap was just two plastic shower curtains sealed together and was originally introduces to the market as a decorative wall covering.
